Languages like
Python and Perl have enormous numbers of libraries available, mostly in the
public domain.
Sorry to be a stickler, but just so people are aware open source
software isn't public domain. It's license dictates what you can and
can't do with it whereas public domain means it's free for anyone to
do anything with it.
