I don't know, probably I haven't been coding long enough. Tabs and non-declarations did not pose a problem at all for me.

The thing that really is bad, though, is the lack of variable declaration. In such a strictly defined language it seems odd that it's not enforced and it's lack can hide nasties that can catch you out quite badly.
