I asked him to add "density" as it could perhaps more efficiently
solve a lot of possible intersection as well as maintain expected
'volume' and roll. The hairs seldom went through each other :)
Also had a nice way to add collision objects via array of objects,
plus proper directional friction etc.

Since it also had a goal-like attribute towards groom and weighting
one could fake a lot of complex collisions far more quickly on a shot
by shot basis, and get the 'pose' wanted more easily than straight
simulation alone.

I had no idea how good this tool was until after Barnyard using on a
faster workstation... I was doing what had become a canned demo of
"HAir_dynamics" and with new animation had hair hanging over a
shoulder slide off the shoulder as character leaned forward, there is
certain way that hair slides due to friction of the collision surface
and itself, and where the 3rd party hair in XSI currently fails on
this (no fault of XSI), the HAir_dynamics system excelled.

I don't know whether it will be public, would need some adjustments,
was made for a particular features aesthetic and needs.

But does it have hair self-collision?
I know this would probably be horrible on the cpus but it really shows
when hair go thru each other. :(

It rocked, I hope hair dynamics in XSI gets this 'kind' of control.
Hopefully XSI makes their own hair so the obviously needed feature of
curve control of attributes along strand is implemented, plus goals.
It saved us having to have mutliple hair setups/rigs.
Thanks Helge, and Adam who pitched in too.
