Make sure you have 64bit and 32bit versions of all shaders/plugins, or you have someone there who can compile 64bit. We're using 1 workgroup for both platforms and it seems to be fine.

The only things that are wonky on the farm are simulations. 32bit and 64bit seems to calculate things a bit differently, and even the cache format seems different for syflex on the two platforms. Our custom render farm has options to render on either 32bit or 64bit so this hasn't caused any major problems. So if you have a flexible customizable render farm, you should be okay.
