i've had bad experiences with referenced material libraries. probably because i havent understand how to use them.
Duplicated materials and that sort of stuff...

Also never apply a material to a partition when you have a referenced material library set as active
will make xsi crash. You have to create a new material library and set it as active.

now i dont reference the library in i load it into the scene. that
should keep the materials on the models...
