I spoke too soon, the native motion buffer is not working all the way through the shot.

Is there any way to use the LM2MV shader instead?  If so, anyone kind enough to walk me through how to set it up for 6.01?

Black?

You're looking at the motion framebuffer output and not the output of the main framebuffer, right? If the object isn't moving, it looks gray. You can validate this in the render region by selecting the motion channel to view. You don't need to do a special pass for it either. It comes for free with the main render.

Thanks Halfdan,

I think I am still missing something. I set up a motion output framebuffer, adjusted the motion vector length based on what MR suggested, but it looks like only some of my geo is creating getting the motion color applied, while the rest are black.  They are all in the same partition.

Is there some material, overrride or setting on the objects I am not aware of?  I tried looking in the docs but there's not much.  I am under the impression from your post yesterday that you set it up and render that pass, if there are more steps involved please let me know.

I'm confused.

You don't need it for 6.0.1. The motion buffer is already rendered in a format suitable for RMSB. You may have to change the output format to a 16-bit or float RGB(A) image but that's about it.

Having trouble getting it to work.  The motionblur menus are all different so I am not sure if it's something I am overlooking or it's just broken.
