Yeah, it has it's own batch processing module, plus
it will run in AE or any app that uses photoshop plugins as
well.
I've never tried any of the other plugins out
there, so I can't compare.

still suffers from the same problems as doing it in post, AA issues at
the focus area etc (it's not 3d dof). So I would say doing it in post is
your best bet anyway, where at least you don't have to rerender you
'beaty' passes when you're not happy with the results.
Haven't tried
Dof Pro, but if you use After Effects (works with Fusion too) you can
use Frischluft Lenscare. It's great, and as far I can see it does
everything that Dof Pro does. Using such a plugin in a compositing app
like AE or Fusion is more useful than in Photoshop for most people, I
would guess.
