Interesting, we definitely were told to use Motion JPEG-A for recent film work because the colours were suppoed to be better.
 
Sorenson 3 seemed to do us nicely before that.

i also always use Sorenson 3, just gives me good results everytime!!

we always use Sorenson 3 for offline work....
unless we want to check stuff on the final cut, then we have to use blackmagic (to enable playback without re-rendering)

Hello all,
 
So, who uses what QT format for the best results? What's the flavour of the month?
 
Recently we've had some people saying Motion JPEG-A is the way to go & others saying "OH no, don't do dat!".
We used to be happy with Sorenson3 'till Motion JPEG-A was brought up.
Or is it H.261, 263 or 264 that gives the best result?
 
There are bound to be sliding scales but what good balances have been found for colour accuracy & size.
