We're going quite a bit of modeling these days in XSI, both in linux and windows. The style of modeling is a lot of building topologies on top of other topologies which has its own workflow issues when compared to freeform modeling.

For example, all the auto snapping behavior of creating polygons and edges seems to fight with the generic snapping behavior. If it were possible, it would be nice to get that behavior wrapped into the rest of snapping, or at least provide some options on sensitivity. I see quite of few of our guys get frustrated every now and again with how the polygon or edge creation tools try to latch onto something outside of the desired target.

Hopefully, these tools will get another pass at some point, with topology regeneration in mind.

Not really... It happens when the camera is in some weird angle in the
viewport. And as much I can zoom in, sometimes I can just never add the
edge where I want to. 

I'm not doing much modeling these days, but next time it comes up I'll
send you a scene.
