- in 5.11 or 6.01? I am on 5.11 and most of the referenced models with instances in them work fine with passes - only few don't but they still take long time to sort out :(

strange. i just did a scene with 100 characters, where about 75 of
them where instances of reference models. all in one mother model :)

no problems with partitions.

i also seem to remember that in 6.02 some issues where adressed
(regarding the bug list)
