With proper naming of your files you can script it with a simple "for i = 1 to x " loop...
 

I wonder if it might be a good idea to be able to drag-and-drop non_xsi files like OBJ, FBX, EPS etc into XSI directly, or if nothing else to select multiple objects to be imported.
It's quite painful, to always go to File>Import> EPS> (choose).... if u have many outside files.

(the only quick way I have found to automate opening the File Browser dialog was to copy the 'import' command logged in the script editor and run it....)
