"normalize" weight script?

Subject : "normalize" weight script?

Hello,

Anyone knows of a sort of "normalize" envelope weight scripts?
I have an envelope where there is a small percentage of unassigned
weight. I'd like to take this "hole" and distribute it among all the
deformers, so there is no more unassigned weight.

I could probably write the script, but wanted to check first if there
is one available. A quick look in local net view didn't yield anything
I could see as useful.
