t's true that Softimage bought one of the most advanced character animation toolkit.... An we still have to work around almost softimage 3d kinematic chains.

I've noticed that many people wish for two things in XSI 7 – new particle system and CAT for XSI.

It's the latter that I have a question about. Why? Personally I've never used CAT, but I wonder what does it have to offer that XSI animation system can not?

It seems that quite a few things that are features of CAT are already in XSI – automatic rigs, motion retargeting etc.

Could someone who has use both CAT and XSI comment?

Thanks
