Thanks for testing, I just uploaded a version which should work with
Linux as well now.
Cheers!

Does my one run on Linux or does it throw an error around line 62? I
seem to remember Linux disliking JScript's push method, now that you
mentioned it...

Wow, don't know how you managed to get the Isner one to work with
an up to date version of XSI, that one started to give us severe
trouble back around v4. Haven't touched it since.
Just ran it, and did pick session, did it for couple of objects.
Didn't even read it. XSI 6.02 linux.
Regarding copy/paste uvs, you currently can easily hit a situation
where the pasted uvs are all messed up in an .obj workflow. This
copy tool is a way to work around this problem without using GATOR,
which introduces errors in the uv layout if you have overlapping or
very fine detail. If you haven't encountered problems yet, you
don't need it for now...
I'm very happy to have another tool for it thanks.
And yes, I think you have to create a user there.
And very happy to find another resource for xsi, instead of those
endless dead links. Registered already, had to promote myself to
codeteam.
Thanks,
Mikko

Hi,
may need a login to get it? Link goes to news site.
Last time I did drag and drop UV's to imported obj polys were
detached, Gator did merge the island edges, not perfect but
better, misners script I grabbed from this list did perfect. So
how does this differ from that?

Heya,
since uv copy problems after .obj export/import operations seem
to be a very common problem, I've just uploaded a self-installing
custom command to Helge's mindthink website
(http://www.mindthink.de) called aa_CopyUVsPerFace, which fixes
this problem over here. Simply select source mesh and target mesh
and the tool will copy the uv coordinates based on face indices
rather than on sample indices, which are the source for the uv
copy/paste issues.
Hope this is of good use, cheers!
