I agree with Kris. I had the same problem. I
absolutely hated it at first. After I got used to it, I really started to like
it. While it's not 100% perfect, I'm very happy with the direction they are
going.

Write a script to set your filenames. I did
this a lot before 6.x. Use the FSO (in VBScript) to create directories too! I
set up my script to use my scene name as a variable and build the whole thing
from that. It also created the passes and set my default settings in
each...
