You can't rename constraints. It's bothersome in a most extreme way.

Hmm. Not sure if you can rename them but an alternative is to put all the animated parameters from the constraints on a custom property page using proxy parameters. This way you can rename them and have them all conveniently located.

Really stupid question, so apologies in advance, but does anyone know how to rename Constraints? I've never had to animate more than two arm constarints, but my current shot has 6 as he grabs various scene elements....
The normal Property page has no field to change the name, and right clicking in the explorer>Rename is'nt an option.
