IÂll check it with a simple scene, itÂs been working
fine on XSI6.02/32bit sofar, maybe I have a texture
or something missing.
YouÂre right could also be a shader.
Weird thought. I canÂt open the scripteditor to
grab the errormessage since XSI wonÂt come
back after the error (mR disabling itself).
IÂll test it with another box (as the rendernode)
to see if itÂs machinespecific...
Cheers

I had something like this slave dying at fr 1 and error message was not
all helpful. Finally it was missing shader. I'm happy XSI stays up while
slave dies, did not always. Unfortunately don't remember the error. Try
something like sphere with phong.

Hi,
IÂve two machines, with satellite rendering I can
successfully render a region using both machines

pass I get a mR errormessage (bothXP64):
"host 1 died"
and a XSI stating that the network name is no longer
available?
I checked my ports, if I enable the sattelite port,
XSI will start, if I enable both the sattelite and the
batch port in the rayhosts file, XSI GUI wonÂt start.
(for that slave) regardless of the firewall settings
for those ports. ItÂs as if the batch port is blocked
anyway (I have message pop-ups enabled in XP)
Pretty exotic problem. CanÂt see whatÂs wrong?
Anyone had similar problems? Solution?
