Could that be a 32-bit DirectXImport/Export DLL you’re having in your 64-bit XSI installation?

Alright. It’s on the FTP Stephen.

Thanks for having a look.

Just want to mention that it is Vista Enterprise 64bits.

I also checked for what is said on this wiki page without luck:

http://softimage.wiki.avid.com/index.php/ERROR_:_2000_-_Library_not_found

thanks

Hi Marc-Andre

Start Process Monitor.

Press Ctrl+E to stop capturing events.

Press Ctrl+X to clear the log.

Press Ctrl+E to start capturing events.

Start XSI.

After XSI starts up and you see the errors, go back to Process Monitor and press Ctrl+E to stop capturing events.

Save the log as a .pml file.

Put the log on ftp.softimage.com/incoming and I will take a look.

Steve

Yup. It’s the only one I get.

Both DirectXImport.dll and DirectXExport.dll are missing.

Who. I have no clue how to find an error with Process Monitor nor Dependency Walker. I just installed both and it’s Chinese to me! ;-)

How can I get such an error with a fresh install of XSI?

Is that the only error you get?

I use Process Monitor or dependency walker to troubleshoot these types of issues.

I doubt this is about directX itself, rather it is a missing dll or a wrong version of a dll being loaded.

Hey

I just installed XSI 6.02 64bits on my new PC and I’m getting an error that says:

Library not found: c:\Softimage\XSI_6.02_x64\Application\Plugins\DirectXImport.dll

Why is it giving me that error? The dll is in the right place, is there something I have to update from Microsoft about directX?

Thanks

MAC
