sorry I meant the MacPros.
And I'm still in 32-bit XP world...

G5's aren't intel based fyi. Did you mean MacPro?

But on the MacPro's you can run a 64bit flavor of xp/vista if you need more memory. Or linux if you prefer.

XSI works great on Bootcamp though here are a few issues I noticed:
- on a macbook pro, you might be limited by the ATI video cards it uses. While using 6.01, I would have frequent crashes anytime I tried maximize my viewport. I later figured a workaround by disabling the 'vertical sync' in my ATI driver settings
- the other BIG issue on the G5's is that you cannot use more than 2 GB of RAM... as far as I know, the /3GB switch in the boot.ini file does not work on macs and it's supposedly a motherboard or some such issue. So if you have any huge renders being done, you might have memory crunch issues (even with memory optimization enabled)

other than that, I've been fairly satisfied.

And again. The old and famous question about apple and xsi. Anyone who has
running xsi on an Apple Powerbook with windows XP or vista? Are you
satisfied? I would be interested in your experience.

Thanks a lot
