(as for the recovering part ...I'm past that lifestyle! ..I'm a new man now :P)


I can't use your method because it creates a collection with material clusters from ALL the scene objects.
What I need to do is to be able to loop through each object, rendermap surface/lighting etc, then replace the original texture with the rendermapped one and then move to the next ..and so on.
So you see I can't delete all material clusters beforehand...
