When I was working with 5 a year or two a ago they ended up being quite
helpful, but I did need to push hard through their US sales guy before I got
any response. I also shouted a lot on their mailing lists. They don't much
like noise.
The product itself was also quite flawed both in terms of the design and
it's completeness. Renderfarming in particular just plain didn't work. I've
not used Xstream but if 5 was anything to go by they're probably trying to
be too clever and they really don't understand production needs so it's
probably breaking, it's probably more complicated than it need be and it
probably doesn't really work the way you want it to.
They have, potentially, a good product but they need to get their act in
gear.
