I ran into this last week, testing FG and the new architectural shader. Even with high refraction values there were still area's that didn't render properly (e.g. black area's) . Might be the mia shader though...

I seem to remember some talk about FG and transparent objects posing problems ie. FG not working properly through transparent objects. Quick simple tests with material transparency and texturemapped transparency show no problems here so far - is there something I should look out for?
