Subject : merge meshes in model by script and xsi dos not render anymore
Hello,
I have a strange problem (tested in XSI 6.02 and 6.5):
In a model I have a couple of enveloped meshes (materials are also applied) that I'd like to merge to a new mesh (inputs are deleted).
So I have written a command in JScript to import that model (not referenced), do the merge on some specific meshes and export the model again.
I have basically copied and pasted the log output to build the merge code and just added some variables - so really a straight forward merge incl. copying the shapes and UVs.
However, after executing the scripted command, when I open a render-region, it remains blank (no progress bar in the bottom right).
Same happens when I try to render a complete frame. I have to restart XSI to be able to render again.

Since I want to bake the render tree of the merged mesh to a color map (in the same script), I have a problem, because I the renderer does not work anymore.

I highly appreciate any hints.
On Friday I can setup a sample scene to show this issue.

Thanks in advance,
Kai
