Should work
there is a setting for alternating the orientation of the repetitions,
perhaps this has changed?
this setting is under the advanced tab of the texture page
by default I believe it is the left most selection for both u and v

you might also check that your texture repeats are integers or whole
numbers, having a fractional repeat will cause a clip of the image and
create a seam.

Doing it as I write this. But that doesn't fix it, it just moves the  
gaps farther apart.
what I'm saying is: This is quite an issue. XSI shouldn't do this.  
There's absolutely nothing wrong with my maps, and its a simple  
repetition. there shouldn' t be gaps. at. all!

Try and recreate it. It's not supposed to be this way.
