Transparency in render channels ?

Subject : Transparency in render channels ?

Am I dumb or Render channels actually don't take transparencies ?
With a simple setup, a phong material with a transparency map, the diffuse channel doesn't show any transparency.
Hopefully I missed something... If not, render channels would turn totally useless for us.
