Hi Halim,

This is actually required - otherwise it wouldn't be a diffuse
channel. A diffuse channel should store only the diffuse illumination
so if it added transparency information in then it would no longer be
a diffuse channel.

If you want transparency information as well then you may look at the
refraction channel. Though I've not worked with the default much. I
generally prefer to build my own channels by hand as this way I can
control exactly what's stored.

If you wanted to be able to adjust transparency in post then I'd
probably store at least 3 channels (these may not exist in the
defaults). One would be the diffuse, the other transparency (i.e. pure
transparency) and the third would the the transparency texture/amount
- i.e. the texture driving the level of transparency - though if it's
just a plain colour then this wouldn't be required as it can be easily
replicated in post.
