Hi Guys,

We are trying to do some renders here with different techniques to be able to use motion blur. The first one causing problems - see here:

www.fictionfactory.co.za/black.jpg

is a straight textured scene, with displacement using rasterize motion blur - notice the black area showing in the motion blur on the rock in the middle of frame - circled in red - settings on motion blur - center on frame - but we have tried all these settings and none change it - BUT we have found a little fix - sort of - if we offset the UVs in the texture editor, it renders sort of OK - makes me feel like the order of render is wrong i.e. it is sampling displacement before doing the texturing and therefore the texture no longer really fits???

Next one:

Is a render which is using the old trick of rendering the pass without MB and then reprojecting the render onto the geometry again - in this case an AO render, BUT we are still rendering displacement as we need the alpha on the edges to be correct - in this case it certainly looks like the displacement is happening after the texture projection so is picking up the edge of the reprojected texture - which I suppose is normal - in this pic:

You can see the same thing, but as this is WITHOUT displacement, you can see a slight black edging in the MB - same thing the MB sampling is picking up beyond the pre-rendered texture!

Anyone got any ideas for us to try to sort this out??

Thanks

Sandy
