Me again.
I did make quite some progress on this,
(thanks Kim for the script, it helped a lot, even though Im on Vbscript)
and ofcourse ran into some more weirdness...

from the hairobject I can find the generator object or cluster.
(quite a dirty way actually: trying to get the cluster connected to the 
port,
if it throws an error means its not connected to a cluster so its gotta be 
an object
- couldnt see a cleaner way of doing this.)
