am not up to date with what´s out there at the moment?
Collegue of mine is currently looking into all sorts of
renderers for Maya, we have some RAT at work on
which I may get my hands on soon (motionblur and ricurves
look "sooooooo cooool"....) but personally am looking for
something I could ideally have for both Maya8 and XSI 6
at home? FinalRender or VRay, to doodle with during
the an eventual christmas break...
Anything out there that popped up out of nowhere lately?
I´d really like to slowly lean more towards XSI, not
just for modeling but also animation and rendering
as I find Maya (Complete) hasn´t evolved much
between 3 and 8... but instead starts to feel worn out,
drawing more from the foundation than from constant care,
yet having an external renderer with plug-ins for both apps
would be very welcome for me currently (obviously).
