Here´s the link to affogato (for renderman compliant renderers)
at sourceforge

http://sourceforge.net/projects/affogato

Also downloaded 3delight, am looking forward to the
motionblur, curve rendering and user geometry arealights,
still fear the sl language...will start with the Maya plug.in version.

http://www.3delight.com

About Vray, it comes at a great price (~700 Euros),
including 10 rendernodes but I´ve only found info
on it´s support for Maya on the net, no XSI info yet.

Cheers

tim

Don't forget about vray also. Hopefully Vlado will do his homework with it.

Hi guys,

thanks alot for the info. Maybe it would really be
the best idea to get into a renderman compliant
renderer (in terms of broadening the "professional
skillset), so I´ll look into 3Delight for a start.

It´ll be at least some fun to realize I can´t get anything
shaded at all (in worst case) out of it...
