Pb solved. There was a 2D chain with a root, a bone and no effector ! I don't know how this is possible to remove the effector in XSI, but it is not the first time I see this weird behavior.

The guilty 2D chain can be exported in a model without problem for XSI ( see attached file )...

I replaced this little chain by a new one and now the Dupplicate Symmetry works like before.

Ouf !

I'm working on a leg setup and I used the Duplicate Symmetry command successfully ... until today :-/. The difference is just a bunch of new bones parented under the main chains and using some "link with" expressions to drive their scaling ('a la' muscle bone). I suspect it is because of those "link with" that the Duplicate Symmetry failed but I'm not sure as I used them before without problem with symmetry. I'm going to search which object brake the command but maybe someone already get this error message and found how to solve it ?

Error Message when running a Duplicate Symmetry command :
' ERROR : Object required: 'l_CurrentObject.Joint' - [line 2923 in /.../softimage/XSI_6.5/Application/DSScripts/duplicate.vbs]
DuplicateSymmetry

Any advice to use successfully this handy command ( in 6.02 or 6.5 ) ?

Cheers
