I don´t want to sound like a cocky ass, but 1.3 GB
isn´t much. Is there any chance you can open the
scene on a dedicated machine, at least a native
32bit wintel box - not a Mac - with 3GB Ram?
Are you in lookdevelopment or do you try to render
a final scene, could you resort to rendering batch?
Do you use the architectural material or the sky light?
Does the scene render with the default material only?
I had mental ray crash on the architectural material
quite a bit in XSI 6, never really understood why
but sometimes found that re-creating my passes
or recreating my materials would solve the hang ups.
Cheers
tim

but i have frozen everything i could. hair and the modeling. still no go.
any idea why it takes the memory usage to 1.3 gigs.
i also got rid of all the bear share, and win amp crap.
and the little mighty mouse is put away to avoid any harm to it. awwww....

this one just caught my eye...
hit them with the stupid no-button mac mouse.
leave their invoices unpaid untill they uninstalled the crap.
failing this, do some housecleaning yourself.
even if this doesnt solve your specific problem - it wouldnt hurt.
concerning your issue, did you freeze modelling on the text objects? I
would
surely recommend to do so.
