Still trying to find a suitable workflow for 2K/32bit...

I noticed that *.exr files created from Maya 8/8.5
are saved uncompressed, ~45MB frame for 2K.

Is there a toggle to activate lossless *.exr compression
for XSI 6.02?

When I create a batchscript (save copy to folder) from
within Photoshop CS2, I can bring down the filesize to
~ 4.5 MB/frame, lossless, which is more manageable, obviously.

Still, that´s at least 150MB/sec(at)25fps, too much for
a simple RAID 0 stripeset (from 2 disks).

Is there a 16bit/10bit format I could fall back to you
would recommend?

Is there a plug-in to read *.dpx files into Photoshop?

I´d really like to preserve more info from my renderings
for comping things together later nicely but am a bit lost
in deciding for a fileformat manageable by all parties, e.g.
AfterEffects, XSI, Maya and some sort of sequence player?

Cheers

tim
