I had a little test done with Polytrans, and as the camera animation was moved over more or less succesfully, the aspect ratio of the camera's reverted back to NTSC 4/3, instead of the set 16/9 PAL rendersize.
This might be something specific to MAX, I don't know.
But the fact is that the image in camera changes a lot going back from 4/3 to 16/9, so it might need some work though.

yep. if you look at the table for the supportet entities that get

the maya camera is though.

There is a tool available to transfer cameras between Maya, XSI and Max

I would if I could, or know how.. ;-)

I find it hard to believe this stuff hasn't come up more
often, and
that it is not yet in Crosswalk.

Anyone use Polytrans or Deep Exploration for stuff like this
in
combination with .FBX, .XSI and CrossWalk??

Hi Rob,

how about exporting an ASCII Scene *.ASE format from MAX and
then
making a script in XSI parse that file and recreate a camera
with
those settings ?

Hi all,

Even with the new crosswalk v. 2.5 it's still not possible
to export
your camera's from 3dsmax to xsi.

I've searched the web, found some tools (motionblur.it) but
they
don't work properly. I get the wrong FOV's, or the camera's
are
looking in the wrong direction, no interests etc.

Is there something out there that does work? I managed to
get the
scene in with a combination of crosswalk and fbx for the
geometry,
but the camera's won't come in properly, not even with fbx.
