Indigo for XSI is another one worth looking at. I've only done some basic tests with Maxwell and it seems so slow that it's unsuitable for animation.

That said, Keytoon have produced a few really nice animations with Maxwell. Check out their short 'The GrandFather of Soul'...

Here's a handy tip... using Neat Image in post can really help clean up the noise these renderers produce.

Cheers

	Hi,

I wonder if there are people allready using the fryrender engine
	from feversoft, http://www.fryrender.com/

I had a hard time today trying to get the fryrender 1.9 beta demo
running from inside XSI 6.02 on XP64, e.g. the fry_XSI.dll
wouldnÂt install correctly, somehow the addon seems buggy.
Spport is kind enough and responsive but I still ended up
unable to get the XSi plugin to work from either XSI 6.02 32bit
or XSI 6.02 64bit, both running on XP64. Is there a catch?

Anyone gor something out of it?

The renderer itself didnÂt produce stellar results for the Cornell
caustics sample scene (q6600/30min calc time/~100mio samples)
but still seems promising, especially since there are plugins for
both Maya and XSI, 3DS Max anyway (theoretically..).

Unbiased rendering is something to get used to, so I donÂt
want to nitpick too much but instead would like hear otherÂs
opinion on fryrender or Maxwell? You got something out of
	it allready, more than stills?

	Cheers

	tim
