Hi Bernard

I tried with the example Show Banner timer event, and the problem does
not occur in 6.5 (I did repro in 5.11 however).

Oh man, it got worse: it even restarts my render region......


I don't know if I'm doing something illegal with the event (calling
SetGlobal, GetGlobal, creating a date object), but I mean what else
would you use such an event for? I hope this was fixed in later
versions......
