I Also get this one.
Actually hairs, softbodies, cloth and particles caching are all differants some are internal some are files and those files are differants types .A consistant simulation caching method and the option to allow modification or not in the delta would be welcome, I hope to see that in a near future ....

yeah delta is a really good feature I've been using it a lot. Just be careful when using the RemoveItem button, sometimes it doesn't remove the selected items.
Anyway it's for sure the best design for ref models... But, I still have a lot of complaints about it... specially how it deal with mixer animation and the way you manage all the information that the delta store...

I heard it is being improved.... lets see the next version.

Hi Thiago,

The auto launch flip book is a rather 'funny' behavior, but the auto clear cache is definitely not one. Good to know !

As a workaround, an OnBeginSceneSave Event could search through all the parameters in the Deltas and disable the ones like "LaunchFlipbook" or "CleanCachedFiles" parameters.

Delta system is a really good new feature. I hope those weird things will be fix soon.

Cheers

Just hope to do not put many flipbooks to load at the sametime! :)
I'm doing a document about how to deal with delta and this one will definitely be in there.
Delta likes to add any weird things in there...  Like Clearcache so everytime you open the scene it deletes the cache files from your harddrive... haha

Thanks to Frederic Valleur we found the problem !

I used to put my fxtree under a model and then convert to referenced
model ( this way I can quickly edit the comp without loading the 3d
scene ). When I load the 3d scene I can render and then see the comp
from the referenced fxtree. The problem is that when I click the "Launch
Flipbook" button on a File Output Fx operator it adds a Delta parameter.
When the scene is loaded, this delta is read :
FxTree.FileOutput1.LaunchFlipbook . And it launch the  flipbook :-).

To avoid this "Auto Launch Flipbook" feature,  I can delete the delta or
commit to reference and then re-save the scene.

So if you want to check a specific sequence when you open a scene, just
put a fx tree with a File Output in a referenced model and clic "Launch
Flipbook" !

Looks like the trick of the month :-)
