Hey Matt ! Yep it's for the studio.

It looks like the FX 4600 is fav in the Nvidia corner then.

Just had a quick look at the ATI FireGL V8600.
It looks very attractive option, price and perf wise.
XSI is part of its certified apps as well on ATI website...
Anyone using it ?

About Quadro vs Geforce price tag, I suppose big part of what you are
paying for
Is the "certification" wich in theory means both hardware and drivers
have been tested
To major extents to work properly on pro visual apps.

thanx for the info.
would you guys say that the quadro cards are that much better for xsi
than the gaming cards.... I've been doing 3d for 8 years and have never
used a quadro. so far the gaming cards seemed fine Where exactly would
one see the difference between a geforce 8800 gt and a quadro fx 3500m
except the price tag....?
