I use Maya and XSI at work and switch back and forth all the time.

I don't use QWERTY model in XSI, because, well, imo, it cripples the functionality.
Only thing I'd recommend is to remap key S in Maya (it saves key/keyframe) to K (as in XSI), because even after 2 years, I still sometimes hit S to orbit camera in Maya - especially when I alt-tab between the two.
