Au contraire! It's quite interessting and funny too.

It's more than difficult to get old learned habits (W,E,R)
out of my brain. It's like riding a new bike, where the
steering wheel acts completely different. So, I will
reconfigure it a litte, keeping S as the navi-control.

BUT: since we are quite through with keyboard shortcuts;
how about some rant about the layout ;-)

After years of optimizing and reconfiguring the maya interface,
I would like to do similar things to the XSI-Window. For example,
I miss the outliner, where I was selecting all my objects, cameras
and so on. Since I have a 16:10 monitor, I did something like this:
<see attached picture>

Then I would like to have some less menu-digging (i.e. get sphere).
....and on and on.

So, are you working with the default layout, or do you "pimp" it
somehow too? I (and probably other too) would like to see them.
Since Softimage offers such powerfull Layout editing, it would be
sad if noone shares it. Perhaps another thing for www.xsidatabase.com?

Let the thread continue,
best wishes,
Marco
