Hi,
You could have a look at BA_Color_Switcher which allows you to isolate elements of the RenderTree easily.

You can pipe any elements of the rendertree you want into various inputs of one one big node, and then override the switches inside the shader to select the outputs.
If you set up your materials so that they all use this node. e.g. switch 0= full colour, switch 1 = constant, switch 2 = highlights, switch 3 = reflections. It can stay pretty organised.
I haven't used this method in full production yet mind.
