Agreed with you this looks solid and lovely integrated. Thanks to
Softimage for making this possible in v6!
Personally, transparent access to features like RIB boxes, riCurves,
riPoints, and of course displacement and motion blur speed is a huge
plus for my work. I'm sure I'm not the only one missing these constantly
in MR.
Oh and loading external shaders is indeed allowed :-)

The 3delight crew mentioned a workflow like this. Setup materials in
maya and light in xsi. I don't use maya nor 3dfm so I couldn't test it.
This is a solid rendering plugin though, and DNAsoft is a great
company with talented developers. Have fun with it
