I really like Slack as a desktop OS, it also has very stable development 
and life cycle path. Plus it comes as lightweight as it gets.
I am afraid of old fedoras cause of hardware issues and at other hand I 
am afraid of new fedoras since they are spit out before they have 
reasonable time to mature. Multimedia station for workstation just 
doesnt sound right...
Some time ago I deployed Cent OS 5 to two of our servers, so far I am 
very pleased with it, mainly cause of its very good compatibility to RH 
Enterprise. As Nuke has good support for Cent OS then thats probably 
what I am going to try out.
