Yeah, I've been noticing a backlash from the general CG community wanting to do more and more 'in-camera'.
It's refreshing.
The city just looks so damn cool as a miniature... Something magical about it. Touched by man.
If that same thing was done today, it'd be too sterile.
That entire piece gives me goosebumps on the back of my neck.. so many Rated R movies I've watched as a kid when my parents were away.
Ah, "Blame it on Rio"..... good times.
