I did misunderstand it as well. It is a tool for spacing, breakpoint is
made at current frame. Tool for spacing, I see no reason why it couldn't
be used either constant linear or spline curves.

i wonder however, using maya i tried the breakdown keys there. all
they do is stying inbetween the regular keyframes right?
then what do i need them for? when i scale and move the timing i can
select 2 keyframes and the breakdowns inbetween and scale it/move it
as i like?
what does the breakdown key help me? or do i miss a serious feature?
