Same here. Freeze the UV's via the TE menu as well as freeze the object from the MCP menu. Same results.

Hi Kim, as I said yes I freeze them all the time. Construction history
should not slow down selecting things anyway though, it's just a fact
that the TE needs a lot of speed improvement.

You do freeze your UVs regularly?

 Hello List

I would be curious to hear what you all think of the texture-editor in
xsi as far as speed goes? I know it has been talked about before here
but nothing seems to happen in this area so I'm bringing it up again

I've been working on some heavy geometry lately and any operation in
the TE takes ages, it takes several minutes to select all the points
for example which really slows down my workflow here. I select the
points, wait several minutes, then scale them and after that I have to
wait again, it's simply not acceptable to work like this, and yes, I
have frozen my geometry and deleted anything that's not supposed to be
there. Also the fact that you cant work with multiple objects in the
TE properly at the same time just sucks.

It would be good to hear from Softimage that you guys know about what a problem this is and that you are working on it. Is this something that's likely to get fixed within the next couple of versions or not?

thanks

 -Andreas
