What do you like then?
So far I have been very fond to darktree and it's simbionts. But now our facility is expanding and there are other guys also who will start to do rendering work. That means we have taken the course to linux, but darktrees easy way of getting fast procedurals is too tempting to me. I am wondering what would be alternatives...

Salut Jean Marc !

The external editor is not a great idea. It can be difficult to animate parameters from this shader (at least with the xsi darktree plugin).
Sometime render buckets will failed to load the darktree shader.
As it is a procedural texture shader, it will be easy to map complex geometries but
with no option to filtering far details (as far as I know and 2 years ago...). So flickering will be hard to
remove with a standard sampling like 0-2 for example.

I think you understand that I don't like Darktree :-).

Hi everyone

I’m interested in purchasing Darktree procedural texture system, so I was wondering if it was XSI friendly ?

Thanks for your inputs
