This must be one of the best thread rapes so far... Morten dammit. You
know very well there's only one thing that can get people out of their
chairs besides 3Dsoftware battles.
Stefan don't hire any of these guys. They're all alcoholics!

I'm not talking about using fancy new chemicals, artificial
flavourings or any such rubbish... however, the rest of Europe have
been using other malts and base grains for brewing their beer (and so
did Germany before the law came in) for hundreds if not thousands of
years very successfully.
The only thing the law managed to do is not to ensure having the best
beer around, only to kill a number of other "natural" varieties of
german beers, kill bavarian breweries' competition and help keep the
price of wheat and rye low to allow bakers to use them for bread
instead.
Besides, many german beers you probably love don't respect the law
anymore as they probably add cultured yeast, one of the ingredients
forbidden by that law. The law is only used today for advertising as a
selling point.
Don't get me wrong, some of my favourite beers are german... simple as
they come.
Don't be fooled, it's not because it has the word "purity" in it that
it makes it a good law or that it means that what you get is "pure" or
good beer.
I've been to Mexico and had one of those gigantic
beer/chilli/tabasco/lemon concoctions too... I know just how bad beer
can get when you put the wrong stuff in it... ;)
(No offense to Mexicans but I think you just need to have grown up on
that stuff to be able to swallow it)
You haven't lived till you've had a cloudy Coopers Pale Ale though.

Beer should taste like beer.
If you mess with the ingredients too much you just get things like
domestic American brands like Budweiser that use rice. Or other
formulations that aren't designed to enhance flavor but boost
profits. It's crap.
Then there are of course other horrendous concoctions like Zima,
Tequiza (beer with lime and tequila flavoring - yuck) or Malt
Liquor which tastes awful but has so much alcohol in it you only
need 1. Good for budget minded college kids, bad for brain cells.
Believe me I know.
Beer, keep it simple.
