Thanks everyone..

I seem to remember them working well around version 4...

Thanks Peter, its a pretty simple object.. No fancy shaders, I ended up camera projecting.. Very sad :(

I?ve seen how rendermap works in one of the tutorials and tho?t being so cool to try it out.

Never was able to get the same result, I chucked it. Very feeble.

<rant>

maybe I have been doing something wrong, but for the last year whenever I try to make a rendermap, XSI either ignores me and just doesnt do it or provides me with a pink map.. I reckon this has happened about 75% of the times I have tried to create a rendermap...

the most annoying thing is that I tend to use rendermaps to bail myself out of tight corners when people are waiting for passes.

this used to be a really reliable tool.. now i am not so sure :( anyone else have this problem?

</rant>

oh and yes i know some might say a "pink rendermap" is very fitting for me... (hides)
