Subject: Accessing network shares incredibly slow within XSI's file dialogues
Hi list,
we had this several times over the last few years. It only occurs
within XSI, every other software including windows performs fine in
our setup.
Whenever I try to open something with the xsi file dialogues or even
browse directories, that are on a smb share, it takes forever
(sometimes like 5 minutes) to list the directory.
I remember that this issue buzzed over the forums a few times, but I can't
seem to get rid of the problem.
What I tried:
- Removed any "dead" (invisible) network mappings to servers that
are offline/inexistent. Now only valid shares are mounted and active.
- Cleared XSI's project list, just keeping the current project in.
Any suggestions?
